Exodus 26

1You shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim of skilled workmanship.

2The length of each curtain is twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each four cubits; all the curtains share one measure.

3Five curtains shall be coupled one to another, and five curtains coupled one to another.

4You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling, and likewise on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second coupling.

5Make fifty loops in one curtain, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling, each opposite its fellow.

6You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains each to its fellow with the clasps, and the tabernacle shall be one.

7You shall make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you shall make them eleven curtains.

8The length of each curtain is thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits—one measure for the eleven curtains.

9You shall join five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and fold the sixth curtain across the front of the tabernacle.

10You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one outermost curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain of the second coupling.

11You shall make fifty bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, so that it becomes one.

12The excess remnant from the tent curtains—the half curtain that exceeds—shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.

13A cubit on one side and a cubit on the other from the surplus length of the tent curtains will hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side to cover it.

14You shall make a covering for the tent of red-dyed rams' skins, and a covering of badger skins above.

15You shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing.

16Each board shall be ten cubits in length and one and a half cubits in width.

17Two tenons for each board, joined one to its fellow: thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

18You shall make twenty boards for the tabernacle for the south side, facing southward.

19Make forty silver bases under the twenty boards: two bases under one board for its two tenons, and two bases under the next board for its two tenons.

20For the second side of the tabernacle toward the north quarter, twenty boards.

21and their forty silver sockets; two sockets beneath one board, and two sockets beneath the next board.

22For the rear of the tabernacle on the west, make six boards.

23You shall make two boards for the rear corners of the tabernacle.

24They shall be twinned from below, and together they shall be undivided to its top unto the one ring; thus it shall be for both of them, they shall be for the two corners.

25There shall be eight boards and their silver sockets, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under the other board.

26You shall make five bars of acacia wood for the boards along one side of the tabernacle.

27And five bars for the boards of the tabernacle's other side, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle's rear side toward the west.

28The middle bar in the midst of the boards runs through from end to end.

29Overlay the boards with gold, make their rings of gold as housings for the bars, and overlay the bars with gold.

30You shall erect the tabernacle according to its pattern, as shown you on the mountain.

31You shall make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twisted linen, skillfully worked with cherubim.

32You shall hang it on four acacia pillars overlaid with gold, their hooks of gold, on four silver sockets.

33You shall place the veil under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony there within the veil, and the veil shall separate for you between the holy and the holy of holies.

34Place the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.

35You shall set the table outside the veil, and the candlestick before the table on the south side of the dwelling, and you shall appoint the table on the north side.

36You shall make a screen for the tabernacle entrance from blue, purple, scarlet, and fine-twined linen—the work of an embroiderer.

37Make five acacia pillars for the screen, overlay them with gold—their hooks of gold—and cast five bronze sockets for them.
