3Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

4Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

6The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

7Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

8Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9Cush's sons were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabtecha; Raamah's sons were Sheba and Dedan.

10Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on earth.

11Mizraim fathered Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim.

12and Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom the Philistines came), and Caphtorim.

13Canaan fathered Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth.

14the Jebusites, the Amorites, and the Girgashites

15and the Hivite, Arkite, and Sinite

16and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

17Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

18Arphaxad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.

19Two sons were born to Eber: one named Peleg, because the earth divided in his days, and his brother named Joktan.

20Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah.

21and Hadoram, Uzal, and Diklah

22and Ebal, Abimael, and Sheba,

23And Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab—all these sons of Joktan.

24Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

25Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26Serug, Nahor, Terah.

27Abram, he is Abraham.

28Abraham's sons: Isaac and Ishmael.

29These are their generations: Nebaioth, Ishmael's firstborn; Kedar, Adbeel, and Mibsam.

30Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema.

31Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah were sons of Ishmael.

32The sons whom Keturah, Abraham's concubine, bore were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah; Jokshan's sons were Sheba and Dedan.

33Midian's sons were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah; all these were Keturah's sons.

34Abraham fathered Isaac, and Isaac's sons were Esau and Israel.

35Esau's sons: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

36The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.

37Reuel's sons: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38Seir's sons: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

39Lotan’s sons were Hori and Homam, and Timna was his sister.

40Shobal's sons: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam; Zibeon's sons: Aiah and Anah.

41Anah's sons: Dishon. Dishon's sons: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

42Ezer's sons: Bilhan, Zaavan, Jaakan. Dishon's sons: Uz, Aran.

43These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before a king reigned over the sons of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44Bela died, and Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

45Jobab died, and Husham from the country of the Temanites reigned in his place.

46Husham died, and Hadad son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, became king after him; his city was named Avith.

47Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned after him.

48Samlah died, and Shaul from Rehoboth by the River reigned in his place.

49Saul died, and Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.

50Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his place; the name of his city was Pai, and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

51Hadad died, and the chiefs of Edom were Timna the chief, Aliah the chief, and Jetheth the chief.

52chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon

53Chieftain Kenaz, chieftain Teman, chieftain Mibzar

54Captain Magdiel, captain Iram. These are the captains of Edom.
