Deuteronomy 10

At that time Yahweh said to me, "Chisel two stone tablets like the first, come up to me on the mountain, and make yourself an ark of wood."

I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.

I made an ark of acacia wood, hewed two stone tablets like the first ones, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.

Yahweh wrote on the tablets, like the first writing, the ten words he spoke to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly, and Yahweh gave them to me.

I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark that I had made, and there they are, as Yahweh commanded me.

The children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried, and Eleazar his son served as priest in his place.

From there they set out to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

At that time Yahweh separated the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of Yahweh's covenant, to stand before Yahweh to serve him, and to bless in his name, to this day.

Therefore Levi has no portion or inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, just as Yahweh your God spoke to him.

I remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights, as at the first, and Yahweh listened to me also at that time; Yahweh was not willing to destroy you.

Yahweh said to me, “Arise, set out on the journey before the people, and they will enter and possess the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.”

Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, except to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul?

to keep Yahweh's commandments and his statutes, which I command you today for your good?

Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, and all that is in it belong to Yahweh your God.

Only Yahweh delighted in your fathers to love them, and he chose their offspring after them—you—above all peoples, as today.

Circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and do not stiffen your neck any longer.

For Yahweh your God—he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribe.

He executes justice for the orphan and widow, loves the sojourner, and gives him food and clothing.

Love the sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

Fear Yahweh your God; serve him, hold fast to him, and swear by his name.

He is your praise and your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you, which your eyes have seen.

Your fathers went down to Egypt with seventy persons, and now Yahweh your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.
