Deuteronomy 16

Keep the month of Abib and perform the Passover for Yahweh your God, for in the month of Abib Yahweh your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

You shall sacrifice the Passover to Yahweh your God from the flock and the cattle in the place Yahweh will choose to cause his name to dwell there.

Do not eat leaven with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of affliction, for you went out from the land of Egypt in haste, so that you remember the day of your going out from the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

No leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat you sacrifice on the first evening remain until morning.

You may not sacrifice the Passover in any of your gates which Yahweh your God gives you.

But at the place where Yahweh your God chooses to establish his name, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at evening, at the sun's setting, at the season of your exodus from Egypt.

You shall boil and eat it in the place that Yahweh your God will choose, and return in the morning and go to your tents.

Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day an assembly to Yahweh your God; you shall do no work.

You shall count seven weeks for yourself from when you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain; begin to count seven weeks.

You shall observe the Feast of Weeks to Yahweh your God with a measure of voluntary offering from your hand, which you shall give according as Yahweh your God blesses you.

You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God—you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your maidservant, and the Levite who is within your gates, the sojourner, the orphan, and the widow who are among you—in the place Yahweh your God will choose to cause his name to dwell there.

You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall keep and do these statutes.

You shall celebrate the feast of booths for seven days, after you have gathered from your threshing floor and your winepress.

Rejoice in your feast—you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, the Levite, the stranger, the orphan, and the widow who are in your gates.

Seven days you shall celebrate to Yahweh your God in the place that Yahweh will choose, for Yahweh your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, and you shall surely be joyful.

Three times a year every male among you must appear before Yahweh your God in the place he chooses—in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths—and must not appear before Yahweh empty.

Each man shall give according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing from Yahweh your God that he has given you.

You shall appoint judges and officials for yourself in all your gates that Yahweh your God gives you according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with right judgment.

Do not pervert justice, show no partiality, or accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

You shall pursue justice, justice, so that you may live and inherit the land that Yahweh your God gives you.

Do not plant for yourself an Asherah of any tree beside the altar of Yahweh your God, which you make for yourself.

Do not set up a pillar for yourself, which Yahweh your God hates.
