Romans 14

1Welcome the one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over doubts.

2One indeed believes he may eat all things, but the one who is weak eats herbs.

3Let the one who eats not despise the one who does not eat, but let the one who does not eat not judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him.

4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

5One indeed judges one day more than another, but another judges every day; let each be fully convinced in his own mind.

6The one who regards the day regards it for the Lord, and the one who eats eats for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and the one not eating does not eat for the Lord, and gives thanks to God.

7For none of us lives for himself, and none dies for himself.

8For whether we live, we live for the Lord, and whether we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

9For this Christ died and lived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.

10But you, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

11For it is written: "I live," says the Lord, "every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will confess to God.

12So then each of us will give an account for himself to God.

13Therefore let us no longer judge one another, but resolve instead not to place a stumbling block or obstacle before a brother.

14I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to anyone who regards something as unclean, to that person it is unclean.

15For if your brother is grieved because of food, you no longer walk according to love. Do not by your food destroy that one for whom Christ died.

16Therefore do not let your good be reviled.

17For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18For whoever serves Christ in this is pleasing to God and approved by people.

19So then, let us pursue the things of peace and the things of building one another up.

20Do not destroy God's work for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for that man who eats by causing a stumbling block.

21It is good not to eat meat nor drink wine nor anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is weakened.

22Do you have faith? Keep it between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself in what he approves.

23But the one who doubts is condemned if he eats, because that is not from faith; everything not from faith is sin.
