Lumin Translation

John 15

I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he removes, and every one that bears fruit he cleanses, so that it may bear more fruit.

You are already clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.

Stay in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it stays in the vine, neither can you unless you stay in me.

I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in me, and I in him, bears abundant fruit, because without me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not remain in me, he gets thrown out like a branch and dries up, and they gather them and hurl them into the fire, and it burns.

If you dwell in me and my words dwell in you, ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.

My Father is glorified in this: that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

As the Father loved me, I also loved you; remain in my love.

If you obey my commands, you will continue in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and continue in his love.

I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I loved you.

No one has greater love than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

You are my friends if you do what I command you.

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, because everything I heard from my Father I have made known to you.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you go and bear fruit, and your fruit remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

I command you these things, that you love one another.

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before hating you.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love those who belong to it, but because you do not belong to the world—since I chose you from it—the world hates you.

Remember the word that I said to you: no servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

But they will do all these things to you because of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.

If I had not come and talked to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no pretext regarding their sin.

Whoever hates me hates my Father also.

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have had sin; but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.

But so that the word written in their law might be fulfilled: "They hated me without a cause."

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

And you also testify, because you are with me from the beginning.
