Lumin Translation

John 17

Jesus spoke these things, raised his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you."

As you gave him authority over all flesh, he gives eternal life to everyone you have given him.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent.

I glorified you on earth by completing the work you have given me to do.

And now, Father, glorify me with your own glory, which I had with you before the world came to be.

I revealed your name to the people you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

Now they have known that all things that you have given me are from you.

Because the words you gave me I have given them, and they received them and truly knew that I came forth from you, and they believed that you sent me.

I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, because they are yours.

Everything of mine is yours, and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them.

I am no longer in the world, yet they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

When I was with them, I kept them in your name which you have given me, and I guarded them; none from them has perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

But now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world, so that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

I have given them your word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth.

As you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world.

And on their behalf I sanctify myself, so that they too may be sanctified in truth.

I do not pray only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word.

that all may be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.

I have given them the glory you have given me, so that they may be one, even as we are.

I in them, and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, that the world may know that you sent me and loved them just as you loved me.

Father, I desire that those whom you have given me also be with me where I am, so they may see my glory—which you have given me—because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

Righteous Father, the world did not know you, but I knew you, and these knew that you sent me.

And I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
