Revelation 6

And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come!"

And I saw a white horse, its rider seated there holding a bow; he was given a crown, and he rode forth conquering, to conquer.

When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come."

And another red horse came out, and to its rider was given to take peace from the earth so that they would slay one another, and a great sword was given to him.

When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I saw, and look, a black horse, and the one sitting on it holding scales in his hand.

And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius! Do not harm the oil and the wine!”

And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come."

And I saw a pale horse, and behold, its rider was named Death, with Hades following close behind him; authority was given them over a fourth of the earth to kill with sword and famine and death and by the wild beasts of the earth.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of God's word and the testimony they held.

And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, holy and true Master, do you not judge and avenge our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?"

And a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told that they should rest yet for a little time, until their fellow servants and their brothers, those about to be killed as they also were, should be fulfilled.

And I saw as he opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake struck; the sun turned black as hairy sackcloth, and the whole moon became like blood.

And the stars of heaven fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.

And the sky was removed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

And the kings of the earth, the nobles, the captains, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

They said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of the one seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.”

Because the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?
