Revelation 12

1And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

2And she was pregnant and cried out, laboring and tormented to give birth.

3And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great fiery red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven diadems on his heads.

4And his tail swept a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth. The dragon stands before the woman about to give birth, so that when she bears her child he may devour it.

5She gave birth to a son, a male, who is about to rule all nations with an iron rod, and her child was snatched to God and his throne.

6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, so they may nourish her there one thousand two hundred sixty days.

7War broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought the dragon, and the dragon fought with his angels.

8And they were not able, neither was their place found any longer in heaven.

9The great dragon was thrown down—the ancient serpent called the Devil and Satan, deceiver of the whole world—to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

10And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now salvation has come, the power and kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers—who accuses them before our God day and night—has been thrown down.”

11And they conquered him through the blood of the Lamb and through the word of their testimony, not loving their life even to death.

12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and those dwelling in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has a short time.

13And when the dragon saw that he was thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.

14And two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished there for a time, times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15And the serpent hurled water from his mouth after the woman like a river, so that he might sweep her away by the flood.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17The dragon became furious with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, who keep God's commandments and hold the testimony of Jesus.
