Revelation 4

After these things I saw, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice that I heard—like a trumpet speaking with me—saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things that must happen after these.”

Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, a throne was placed in heaven, with one seated upon it.

And the one sitting resembled a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance, and a rainbow encircled the throne, resembling an emerald.

Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones twenty-four elders sat clothed in white garments, golden crowns on their heads.

From the throne come lightning flashes, voices, and thunder. Seven fiery torches burn before the throne; these are the seven spirits of God.

Before the throne was a glassy sea like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.

And the first living creature resembles a lion, the second living creature a calf, the third living creature has a face like a man's, and the fourth living creature a flying eagle.

And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings apiece, are full of eyes all around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming."

And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one seated on the throne, to the one who lives for the ages of the ages,

The twenty-four elders fall before the one seated on the throne, worship the one who lives for the ages of the ages, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, because you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.
