Revelation 2
To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These things says the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands.
I know your works, your toil and endurance, and that you cannot bear evil men, and you tested those calling themselves apostles, who are not, and found them false.
And you have endurance and have borne for my name's sake, and have not grown weary.
But I have something against you because you forsook your first love.
Remember therefore from where you have fallen, repent, and do the first works; if not, I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand from its place unless you repent.
But you have this, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will let him eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The first and the last, who became dead and lived, says these things.
I know your affliction and your poverty, but you are rich, and the blasphemy from those who claim to be Jews themselves, though they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Do not fear any of the things you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and you will have affliction for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Whoever conquers will not be harmed by the second death.
And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The one who holds the sharp two-edged sword says these things.
I know where you live, where Satan's throne is, and you hold to my name and did not deny my faith in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was killed among you where Satan dwells.
But I have a few matters against you, because you have there some holding Balaam's teaching, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before Israel's sons, to eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality.
So you also have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise.
Repent therefore, lest I come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Whoever has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone bearing a new name written on it, which no one knows except the one who receives it.
And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: The Son of God declares these words, who has eyes like a flame of fire and feet like burnished brass.
I know your works, love, faith, service, and endurance, and your last works, more than the first.
But I have against you that you have permitted the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
And I gave her time so she might repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
Behold, I will throw her onto a bed, and those committing adultery with her into great distress, unless they repent of her works.
And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches will know that I am the one who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your deeds.
But to you I say, to the rest in Thyatira, all who do not hold this teaching and have not learned the deep things of Satan, as they call them—I lay no other burden on you.
Nevertheless, hold what you have until I come.
And the one who overcomes and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.
And he will rule them with a rod of iron, as clay vessels are shattered.
As I too have received from my Father, I will give him the morning star.
Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
