Revelation 3
And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: The one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says these things: I know your works—that you have a name that you live, and you are dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen what remains, which was about to die—for I have not found your works fulfilled before my God.
Remember therefore how you received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you do not stay alert, I will come like a thief, and you will by no means know what hour I will come upon you.
But you have a few names in Sardis who did not soil their clothes, and they will walk with me in white because they are worthy.
The one who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, and I will acknowledge his name before my Father and before his angels.
Anyone with an ear should hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
And write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia: The Holy One, the True One who holds the key of David, who opens and no one can shut, who shuts and no one can open, says these things.
I know your works—behold, I have placed before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have little power, and kept my word, and did not deny my name.
See, I am granting some from Satan's synagogue—those claiming to be Jews, who are not but liars. See, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and recognize that I have loved you.
Because you kept the word of my endurance, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one takes your crown.
The one who conquers I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never go out again. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.
Let the one who has an ear hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: "The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation, says these things."
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. If only you were cold or hot.
Thus, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth.
Because you say, "I am rich, and have become rich, and lack nothing," yet you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
I counsel you to buy gold refined by fire from me, so you may become rich; and white garments, so you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be exposed; and eyesalve to anoint your eyes, so you may see.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
Look, I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, dine with him, and he with me.
The one who conquers, I will let him sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat with my Father on his throne.
Let the one who has an ear hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
