Hebrews 13

1Let brotherly love remain.

2Do not forget hospitality, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

3Remember the prisoners as though bound together with them, and those being mistreated as though you yourselves are also in the body.

4Honor marriage among all, and keep the bed undefiled, for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

5Let your manner be free from greed, content with what you have, for he himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

6So we say with confidence: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear—what will man do to me?"

7Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you, and considering the outcome of their way of life, imitate their faith.

8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for eternity.

9Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be established by grace—not by foods, in which those who walked were not benefited.

10We have an altar from which those serving the tabernacle have no authority to eat.

11For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest for sin are burned outside the camp.

12Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate to sanctify the people through his own blood.

13Therefore let us go out to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

14For we have no lasting city here, but we seek the one to come.

15Therefore, through him let us offer God a sacrifice of praise continually, that is, fruit of lips confessing his name.

16But do not forget doing good and sharing, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.

17Trust your leaders and yield to them, for they keep watch over your lives as those who will render account, so they may do this with joy and not with groaning—for that is unprofitable for you.

18Pray for us, for we are confident that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in everything.

19But I urge you even more earnestly to do this, so that I may be restored to you the sooner.

20Now the God of peace, who raised from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

21equip you in every good thing to do his will, accomplishing in us what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

22But I urge you, brothers, to bear with the message of encouragement, for I have written to you briefly.

23Know our brother Timothy has been released; if he comes soon, I will see you with him.

24Greet all your leaders and all the saints; those from Italy greet you.

25Grace be with all of you.
