Hebrews 3

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

who was faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses also was in his house.

For he has been deemed worthy of greater glory than Moses, because the one who built the house has more honor than the house.

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of all things.

And Moses indeed was faithful in his entire house as a servant, for a testimony of the things that would be spoken.

But Christ as a son over his house—whose house we are if we keep the boldness and boasting of the hope.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, "Today if you hear his voice,

Do not harden your hearts as in the provocation, as on the day of trial in the wilderness.

where your fathers tested me in the testing and saw my works.

For forty years, therefore, I was provoked by this generation and said, "They always go astray in their heart, but they did not know my ways."

As I swore in my anger, they will not enter into my rest.

Beware, brothers, lest there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief in turning away from the living God.

But encourage one another every day, as long as it is called today, so that none of you becomes hardened by sin's deceit.

For we have become partners with Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end.

while it is being said, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation."

For who provoked when they heard? But not all those who came out of Egypt by Moses.

But with whom was he displeased for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

But to whom did he swear they would not enter his rest, if not to those who disobeyed?

And we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
