Lumin Translation

Hebrews 1

Long ago, on many occasions and in many ways, God spoke to the fathers through the prophets.

In these final days he spoke to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of everything, through whom he also made the universe.

He is the radiance of glory and the exact imprint of his essence, upholding all things by the word of power; when he had made purification for sins through himself, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in the heights.

Having become so much superior to the angels as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.

For to which of the angels did he ever say, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you," and again, "I will be a father to him, and he a son to me"?

But when he again brings the firstborn into the world, he says, "And let all God's angels worship him."

And indeed about the angels he says, "Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire."

But to the Son: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom."

You loved righteousness and hated iniquity; for this reason God, your God, anointed you with oil of gladness beyond your companions.

And you, Lord, founded the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of your hands.

They will perish, but you remain; and they all will wear out like a garment.

And like a mantle you will roll them up, as a garment they will be changed. But you yourself are the same, and your years will not fail.

But to which of the angels has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies a footstool for your feet"?

Aren't they all ministering spirits, sent to serve for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
