Lumin Translation
Proverbs 2
My son, if you accept my words and treasure my commandments within you,
to make your ear attentive to wisdom, and your heart inclined to understanding.
Indeed, if you call for discernment and raise your voice for understanding;
If you seek her like silver and search for her like hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of Yahweh and find knowledge of God.
For Yahweh gives wisdom; knowledge and understanding come from his mouth.
He treasures up sound wisdom for the upright and is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
He protects the paths of justice and guards the way of his godly saints.
Then you will understand righteousness, justice, equity, and every good path.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will delight your soul.
Discretion will guard you; understanding will protect you.
to rescue you from the evil path, from the man speaking perverse things;
those who forsake straight paths to walk in ways of darkness
who gladly do evil and rejoice in perverse evils
whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their tracks
to rescue you from the other woman, from the foreigner who flatters with her words.
who forsakes her youth's companion and forgets her God's covenant.
For her house sinks to death, and her paths to the shades.
All who enter her do not return, nor do they attain the paths of life.
so that you walk in the way of the good and keep the paths of the righteous.
For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it.
But the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be uprooted from it.
