Numbers 33

1These are the journeys of the sons of Israel, who went out from the land of Egypt by their armies, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2Moses recorded their departures by their journeys at Yahweh's command, and these are their journeys by their departures.

3They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover, the sons of Israel went out with raised hand in the eyes of all the Egyptians.

4As the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom Yahweh had struck among them, Yahweh also executed judgments on their gods.

5The children of Israel set out from Rameses and encamped in Succoth.

6They journeyed from Succoth and encamped at Etham, which lies at the edge of the wilderness.

7They journeyed from Etham, turned back toward Pi-hahiroth facing Baal-zephon, and encamped before Migdol.

8They journeyed from before Pi-hahiroth, passed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness, went on a three-day journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped at Marah.

9They journeyed from Marah and arrived at Elim, where twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees were, and they camped there.

10They journeyed from Elim and encamped by the Red Sea.

11They journeyed from the Red Sea and encamped in the Wilderness of Sin.

12They journeyed from the Wilderness of Sin and encamped in Dophkah.

13They journeyed from Dophkah and camped in Alush.

14They set out from Alush and pitched camp at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15They journeyed from Rephidim and camped in the wilderness of Sinai.

16They journeyed from the Wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17They journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah and encamped at Hazeroth.

18They set out from Hazeroth and encamped at Rithmah.

19They set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-parez.

20They journeyed from Rimmon-Perez and encamped in Libnah.

21They journeyed from Libnah and camped at Rissah.

22They departed Rissah and camped in Kehelathah.

23They journeyed from Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24They journeyed from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

25They departed Haradah and camped at Makheloth.

26They journeyed from Makheloth and camped in Tahath.

27They set out from Tahath and camped at Terah.

28They journeyed from Terah and camped at Mithcah.

29They journeyed from Mithcah and encamped in Hashmonah.

30They set out from Hashmonah and encamped in Moseroth.

31They set out from Moseroth and camped in Bene-jaakan.

32They set out from Bene-jaakan and camped at Hor-hagidgad.

33They journeyed from Hor-hagidgad and encamped in Jotbathah.

34They departed from Jotbathah and encamped at Ebronah.

35They journeyed from Ebronah and camped at Ezion-geber.

36They departed from Ezion-geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37They set out from Kadesh and encamped at Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.

38Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at Yahweh's command and died there, in the fortieth year after the sons of Israel came out from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

39Aaron was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.

40The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the sons of Israel.

41They journeyed from Mount Hor and camped in Zalmonah.

42They set out from Zalmonah and camped in Punon.

43They set out from Punon and camped in Oboth.

44They journeyed from Oboth and camped in Iye-abarim, on the border of Moab.

45They set out from Iim and encamped in Dibon Gad.

46They journeyed from Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.

47They journeyed from Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim before Nebo.

48They set out from the mountains of Abarim and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

49They camped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth to Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

52Drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their carved images, destroy all their cast images, and demolish all their high places.

53You shall dispossess the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess it.

54You shall take the land as heritage by lot for your families—to the numerous you shall enlarge the inheritance, to the few you shall diminish the inheritance; wherever the lot comes out for him there, that shall be his. You shall take possession according to the tribes of your fathers.

55But if you do not dispossess the land's inhabitants from your presence, those you spare among them will become goads in your eyes and thorns along your sides, and they will distress you in the land where you dwell.

56It will happen that, just as I planned to do to them, so I will do to you.
