1 Corinthians 3

1And I, brothers, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but as fleshly ones, as infants in Christ.

2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet able; but even now you still are not.

3For you are still fleshly, since jealousy and strife exist among you—aren't you fleshly and walking humanly?

4For whenever one says, "I belong to Paul," but another, "I belong to Apollos," are you not humans?

5Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed, each as the Lord gave him?

6I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth.

7So then neither the planter nor the waterer amounts to anything, but God who causes the growth.

8The planter and the waterer are one, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

9For we are God's co-workers; you are God's farm, God's building.

10According to the grace of God given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, but another builds on it. Let each one take heed how he builds on it.

11For no one can lay another foundation beside the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or stubble,

13Each one's work will become evident; for the day will disclose it, because it is revealed in fire, and the fire itself will test what sort each one's work is.

14If anyone's work that he built upon it endures, he will receive a reward.

15If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

16Don't you know that you are God's temple and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

17If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him, because God's temple—which you are—is holy.

18No one should deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a fool, so that he may become wise.

19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He who seizes the wise in their craftiness."

20And again, the Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.

21So let no one boast about people, for all things are yours.

22Whether Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life, death, present realities, or future events—all yours.

23You belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
