Zechariah 5

1I turned again, lifted my eyes, and saw—behold, a flying scroll.

2He said to me, "What are you seeing?" I said, "I see a flying scroll twenty cubits long and ten cubits broad."

3He said to me, "This is the curse coming forth over the face of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cleared according to it on this side, and everyone who swears shall be cleared according to it on that side."

4I will send it out, declares Yahweh of hosts, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears by my name to a lie; it will lodge in the midst of his house and consume both it and its timber and stones.

5The angel speaking with me stepped forward and said to me, "Raise your eyes now and see what this is that goes forth."

6I said, "What is it?" He said, "This is the ephah appearing." He said, "This is their appearance throughout all the earth."

7And look, a piece of lead was raised up; this is one woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.

8He said, “This is Wickedness,” and cast her into the midst of the ephah, and cast the lead stone onto its mouth.

9I lifted my eyes and saw, and there were two women coming out with wind in their wings; they had wings like the wings of the stork, and they lifted the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10I said to the angel speaking with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah?”

11He said to me, "To build her a house in the land of Shinar. It will be prepared, and she will be placed there on her base."
