Lumin Translation
Zechariah 2
I raised my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring cord in his hand.
I said, "Where are you going?" He said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long."
Look, the angel speaking with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him.
He said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as open villages because of the abundance of people and livestock in its midst.’”
I will be a wall of fire around her, declares Yahweh, and I will be the glory within her.
Ho, ho! Flee from the land of the north, says Yahweh, for I have spread you like the four winds of the heavens, says Yahweh.
Ho, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.
For thus says Yahweh of hosts: after the glory he sent me to those nations that plundered you, for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.
For look, I will wave my hand over them, and they will become plunder for their servants; and you will know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me.
Shout for joy and rejoice, daughter Zion, for here I come and will dwell in your midst, says Yahweh.
Many nations will cleave to Yahweh in that day and become my people, and I will dwell among you, and you will know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me to you.
Yahweh will take Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will choose Jerusalem again.
Hush, all flesh, before Yahweh, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.
