Zechariah 3

1He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Yahweh, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

2Yahweh said to Satan, "Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand snatched from the fire?"

3Joshua was clothed in filthy garments, standing before the angel.

4He answered and said to those standing before him, "Remove the filthy garments from him." And to him he said, "See, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with festal robes."

5I said, “Let them place a pure turban on his head.” So they placed the pure turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of Yahweh stood by.

6The angel of Yahweh solemnly charged Joshua, saying,

7Thus says Yahweh of hosts: If you walk in my ways and if you keep my charge, then you also shall judge my house, and also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these who stand by.

8Listen now, Joshua the high priest—you and your companions who sit before you—for they are men of portent; for behold, I am bringing my servant the Branch.

9For behold, the stone that I have placed before Joshua—on that one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription, declares Yahweh of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

10In that day, declares Yahweh of hosts, you will invite each man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.
