Lumin Translation
Galatians 5
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore and do not be entangled again with a yoke of slavery.
Look, I, Paul, tell you: if you are circumcised, Christ will benefit you nothing.
I testify again to every man who is circumcised that he is obligated to do the whole law.
You are severed from Christ, you who are justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
For by the Spirit, through faith, we look for the hope of righteousness.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision makes any difference, but faith working through love.
You were running well. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?
This persuasion does not come from the one calling you.
A little yeast leavens the whole lump.
I trust you in the Lord that you will think nothing else, but the one troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
But I, brothers, if I still proclaim circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been abolished.
I wish even those troubling you would cut themselves off.
For you, brothers, were called to freedom—only do not turn that freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another.
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desire of the flesh.
For the flesh desires in opposition to the Spirit, and the Spirit in opposition to the flesh; for these oppose one another, so that you do not do whatever you wish.
But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are sexual immorality, impurity, and sensuality.
idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of wrath, rivalries, dissensions, factions
Envy, drunkenness, revelries, and things like these—which I forewarn you about, just as I forewarned you—that those who practice such things will not inherit God's kingdom.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith.
gentleness, self-control. Against such things no law exists.
But those of Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
