Lumin Translation
Galatians 1
Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead—
and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia.
Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
who gave himself for our sins, that he might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father
To whom be glory for the ages of the ages. Amen.
I marvel that you are turning so quickly from the one who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel.
which is not another, but some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you anything contrary to what we preached to you, let him be accursed.
As we declared beforehand, so I declare now again: if anyone preaches a gospel to you other than what you received, let him be accursed.
For am I now persuading people or God? Or do I seek to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For I make known to you, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not according to man.
For I neither received it from any human nor was I taught it, but through revelation from Jesus Christ.
For you heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I persecuted God's church beyond measure and ravaged it.
And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my people, being far more zealous for my ancestral traditions.
But when God who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me through his grace was pleased,
to reveal his Son in me, that I might proclaim him among the Gentiles—I did not immediately consult flesh and blood,
nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia and returned again to Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and remained with him fifteen days.
But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
Now what I write to you—see, before God, I am not lying.
Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
But I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that were in Christ.
But they only heard that the one who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once destroyed.
And they glorified God on my account.
