Lumin Translation

2 Corinthians 4

1For this reason, having this ministry even as mercy was shown us, we do not lose heart.

2But we have repudiated the shameful secrets, not walking in cunning nor falsifying God's word, but by truth's manifestation commending ourselves to every human conscience in God's presence.

3But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

4Among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that the light of the gospel of Christ's glory—who is the image of God—does not shine.

5For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants on account of Jesus.

6Because God, who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Christ.

7But we have this treasure in earthen jars, so that the surpassing power may be God's and not from us.

8We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.

9persecuted, but not abandoned; thrown down, but not perishing;

10We always carry around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

11For we who live are always being delivered to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.

12So then death works in us, but life in you.

13Having the same spirit of faith, according to what has been written—“I believed, therefore I spoke”—we also believe, and therefore we also speak.

14Knowing that he who raised Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you.

15For all things are for your benefit, so that as grace abounds through more people, thanksgiving may overflow to God's glory.

16Therefore we do not lose heart, but even though our outer man is wasting away, our inner man is being renewed day by day.

17For our momentary light affliction produces for us an exceedingly abundant eternal weight of glory.

18We do not fix our gaze on what is visible but on what is invisible, for what is visible is temporary, but what is invisible is eternal.
