Lumin Translation

2 Corinthians 2

1For I decided this for myself, not to come to you again in sorrow.

2For if I grieve you, who then makes me glad but the one grieved by me?

3And I wrote this same thing so that when I came I would not have grief from those I ought to rejoice over, confident in all of you that my joy is that of all of you.

4For I wrote to you out of much affliction and distress of heart through many tears, not that you might be grieved, but that you might know the love that I have more abundantly for you.

5But if anyone has grieved, he has not grieved me, but in part—that I might not burden all of you.

6This punishment by the majority is enough for such a person.

7so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive and comfort, lest somehow such a one be swallowed up by excessive sorrow.

8Therefore I urge you to confirm your love for him.

9For I also wrote for this reason, so that I might know your genuineness, whether you are obedient in everything.

10Now whomever you forgive anything, I forgive too; for whatever I have forgiven—if I have forgiven anything—I have forgiven it for your sakes in Christ's presence.

11so that we are not defrauded by Satan, for we know his designs.

12But when I arrived in Troas for Christ's gospel, a door had also been opened to me in the Lord.

13I had no relief in my spirit because I did not find Titus my brother, but bidding them farewell, I went forth to Macedonia.

14But thanks to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ and manifests through us the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place.

15For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those being saved and among those perishing.

16To some, an aroma from death to death; to others, an aroma from life to life. Who is competent for these things?

17For we are not like many who corrupt the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak before God in Christ.
