Lumin Translation
2 Corinthians 3
1Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we not need—as some do—letters of commendation to you or from you?
2You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all people.
3You are being shown to be Christ's letter, served by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God—not on stone tablets, but on tablets of fleshly hearts.
4We have such confidence through Christ toward God.
5Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to reckon anything as from ourselves, but our sufficiency comes from God.
6who also qualified us as servants of the new covenant—not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7But if the ministry of death—in letters engraved on stones—came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not gaze intently at Moses' face because of the glory of his face, which was fading,
8How much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be?
9For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, the ministry of righteousness abounds much more in glory.
10For even that which was glorified has no glory in this respect, because of the surpassing glory.
11For if that which is being abolished was with glory, much more that which abides is in glory.
12Therefore, having such hope, we use great boldness.
13and not as Moses, who put a veil over his face so the sons of Israel would not gaze intently at the end of what was being abolished.
14But their minds were hardened, for to this day the same veil remains unlifted over the reading of the old covenant, because it is abolished in Christ.
15But even until today, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their heart.
16But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, freedom is.
18But we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the Lord's glory, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
