Lumin Translation
Timothy 4
But the Spirit plainly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons.
through the hypocrisy of liars whose own consciences have been seared
Forbidding marriage and abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful and those who know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if received with thanksgiving.
For it is sanctified through God's word and prayer.
If you set these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of faith and the good teaching to which you have adhered.
But shun profane and old wives' fables. Train yourself for godliness.
For bodily exercise is profitable only a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of life now and of the life to come.
The word is faithful and worthy of all acceptance.
For to this end we toil and endure reproach, because we have trusted in the living God, who is Savior of all people, especially believers.
Command these things and teach.
Let no one look down on your youth, but be a model for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.
Until I come, attend to reading, exhortation, and teaching.
Do not neglect the gift within you, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on of the elders' hands.
Practice these things; immerse yourself in them, so that your progress may be evident to all.
Keep close watch on yourself and your teaching. Stay with them, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
