Lumin Translation

Timothy 2

I urge, therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.

for kings and all those in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity.

This is good and pleasing before God our Savior.

who desires all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and humans, Christ Jesus the man.

who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony in its own seasons.

For this I was appointed a herald and apostle—I speak truth; I do not lie—a teacher of nations in faith and truth.

Therefore I want men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.

Likewise, women also should adorn themselves in modest clothing, with decency and self-control—not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or costly garments.

but with good works, which befit women who profess godliness.

A woman should learn quietly, in full submission.

But I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to have authority over a man, but to be in quietness.

For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has come into transgression.

But she will be saved through childbearing, if they remain in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
