The remnant of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the Nethinim, and all who had set themselves apart from the nations of the lands to God's law, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone knowledgeable and discerning—
They held fast to their brothers, their nobles, and bound themselves by curse and oath to walk in God's law, which was given through Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes.
and that we will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, and not take their daughters for our sons.
If the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or a holy day; and we will forego the seventh year and every creditor's claim.
We established ordinances for ourselves to impose on ourselves a third of a shekel each year for the service of the house of our God.
for the showbread, the daily grain offering, the daily burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and all the work of the house of our God.
We cast lots among the priests, Levites, and people for the wood offering, to bring it to the house of our God by our fathers' houses at designated times year by year to burn on the altar of Yahweh our God, as written in the law.
and to bring the firstfruits of our land and the firstfruits of all the fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of Yahweh.
the firstborn of our sons and livestock, as written in the law, and the firstborn of our cattle and flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who serve in the house of our God.
We will bring the first share of our dough, our contributions, and the fruit of every tree—wine and oil—to the priests, to the chambers of our God's house, along with the tithe of our land to the Levites, for they, the Levites, collect the tithes in all the cities of our labor.
The priest, a son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites collect tithes, and the Levites shall bring up a tenth of the tithe to the house of our God, to the storerooms, to the treasury house.
For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi will bring the contribution of grain, new wine, and oil to the chambers, where there are the vessels of the sanctuary, the priests who minister, the gatekeepers, and the singers; we will not forsake the house of our God.
