Lumin Translation

Ephesians 6

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just.

Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise.

that it may go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.

And fathers, do not anger your children, but raise them in the Lord's discipline and admonition.

Slaves, obey the masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to Christ.

not in eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

Serve with goodwill as to the Lord and not to men.

knowing that whatever good each one does, he will receive it back from the Lord, whether slave or free.

And masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening, knowing that both their Lord and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his strength.

Clothe yourselves with God's full armor so you can stand against the devil's schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against world rulers of this darkness, against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly realms.

For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on the evil day and, having accomplished everything, stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.

and with your feet fitted with readiness for the gospel of peace

In everything, take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

And receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word.

Praying at all times in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and keeping watch to this end in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

And for me, that a word may be given me as I open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.

for which I am an ambassador in chains, so that in it I may speak boldly, as I must speak.

But so that you also may know the things about me—what I am doing—Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you.

Whom I sent to you for this very purpose, that you might know our situation and he might encourage your hearts.

Peace to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ incorruptibly.
