Ephesians 1

1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God's will, to the saints who are in Ephesus and the faithful in Christ Jesus.

2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

4just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world for us to be holy and blameless before him in love

5having predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he highly favored us in the Beloved.

7In whom we have redemption through his blood, forgiveness of offenses, according to the riches of his grace.

8which he lavished on us in all wisdom and understanding,

9having revealed to us the mystery of his will in keeping with his good pleasure, which he purposed in him

10for a stewardship of the fullness of the seasons, to unite all things in Christ, both those in the heavens and those on the earth, in him.

11In whom we also obtained an inheritance, predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will.

12that we would be for the praise of his glory, we who had hoped beforehand in Christ.

13In whom you also heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and in whom also, when you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

14who is the guarantee of our inheritance for the redemption of his possession, to the praise of his glory.

15For this reason I also, after hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,

16I do not cease thanking on your behalf, remembering you in my prayers.

17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

18The eyes of your heart having been enlightened for you to know what the hope of his calling is and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance are in the saints.

19And what is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of the might of his strength.

20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms

21far above all principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the coming age.

22And he put all things under his feet, and gave him as head over all things for the church.

23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all things in all.
