2 Timothy 3

1But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2For men will be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.

3unloving, implacable, slanderers, intemperate, savage, haters of good

4betrayers, reckless, haughty, pleasure lovers rather than God lovers

5having a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these also.

6For from these are those who slip into homes and captivate foolish women burdened with sins, led away by various lusts.

7always learning but never able to reach knowledge of truth.

8Just as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so these resist the truth also—men corrupted in mind, rejected concerning the faith.

9But they will not advance any further, for their folly will become evident to everyone, as it also did with those others.

10But you closely followed my teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, and endurance.

11persecutions, afflictions—such as befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—such persecutions I endured, and from all of them the Lord rescued me.

12Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

13But evil men and seducers will advance to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14But you, keep to what you learned and were convinced of, knowing from whom you learned them.

15and that from infancy you have known the holy scriptures, which can make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness.

17so that the man of God, fully furnished for every good work, may be complete.
