Lumin Translation

Peter 4

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same resolve, because whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.

no longer to live the rest of the time in the flesh for men's lusts, but for God's will.

For enough time has passed to carry out the will of the Gentiles, when you walked in debaucheries, lusts, drunken sprees, revelries, drinking parties, and unlawful idolatries.

They consider it strange that you do not run with them into the same flood of dissipation, blaspheming.

who will render account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

For this reason good news was preached even to the dead, so that they might be judged as humans in the flesh but live according to God in the spirit.

But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be clear-minded and watchful in prayer.

Above all, have fervent love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

Show hospitality to one another without murmuring.

As each has received a gift, serve one another with it as good stewards of God's manifold grace.

If anyone speaks, let him do so as God's oracles; if anyone serves, let him do so by the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion to the ages of ages. Amen.

Beloved, do not be surprised by the fiery trial occurring among you to test you, as if something strange were happening to you.

But rejoice as you share Christ's sufferings, so that at the revelation of his glory you may also rejoice with exceeding joy.

If you are reviled for Christ's name, blessed are you, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

For none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer or as a meddler in others' affairs.

But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this name.

For it is time for judgment to begin at God's house; if it begins first with us, what will the end be for those disobeying God's gospel?

And if the righteous is barely saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear?

Therefore let those also who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
