5. The captains of Judah will say in their hearts, "The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of hosts their God."
6. In that day I will make Judah's captains like a firepot amid the wood and like a fiery brand amid sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around, to the right and to the left, and Jerusalem will dwell again in her place, in Jerusalem.
7. Yahweh will save Judah's tents first, so that the glory of David's house and the glory of Jerusalem's dwellers do not boast over Judah.
8. In that day Yahweh will defend on behalf of those dwelling in Jerusalem, and the weak one among them that day will be like David, while the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them.
9. It will be in that day that I seek to destroy all the nations coming against Jerusalem.
10. I will pour out on David's house and on those dwelling in Jerusalem the spirit of grace and supplications, and they will look to me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for him as for an only son, and grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn.
11. On that day mourning in Jerusalem will magnify, like the mourning at Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo.
12. The land will mourn, every family alone; the family of the house of David alone, and their wives alone; the family of the house of Nathan alone, and their wives alone.
13. the family of the house of Levi by themselves, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by themselves, and their wives by themselves.
14. All the families that remain, family by family apart, and their wives apart.
