6. I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph and restore them, for I have shown them mercy; they will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am Yahweh their God, and I will answer them.
7. Ephraim will be like a warrior, and their heart will rejoice as with wine; their children will see it and rejoice—their heart will exult in Yahweh.
8. I will whistle to them and gather them, for I have redeemed them, and they will multiply as they multiplied.
9. I will sow them among the nations, and in distant lands they will remember me; they will live with their children and return.
10. I will bring them back from the land of Egypt and from Assyria, gather them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, and no place will suffice for them.
11. He will pass through the sea of distress and strike its waves, while all the Nile's depths dry up; Assyria's pride will come down, and Egypt's scepter will turn aside.
12. I will make them strong in Yahweh, and in his name they will walk, declares Yahweh.
