12. I know how to be humbled and how to abound; in every circumstance and in all situations I have learned the secret of being filled and hungering, of abounding and lacking.
13. I have strength for all things through the one who empowers me.

15. You Philippians know too that at the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone.
16. For even in Thessalonica you sent once and even twice to my need.
17. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
18. But I have everything and abound; I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you—a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.
