35. Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet and come out of him!" Then the demon threw him into the midst and came out from him without harming him.
36. Astonishment came upon everyone, and they spoke with one another, saying, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out."
37. And his fame spread into every place of the surrounding region.
38. He rose from the synagogue and entered Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was gripped by a severe fever, and they appealed to him for her.
39. And standing over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her; immediately she arose and served them.
