1. Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying.
2. Speak to the Israelites and say to them, "When anyone among you brings an offering to Yahweh from the livestock—from the herd and from the flock—you shall bring your offering."
3. If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall bring a male without blemish to the entrance of the tent of meeting and present it for his acceptance before Yahweh.
4. He shall place his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
5. He shall slaughter the bull before Yahweh, and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
6. He shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.
7. The sons of Aaron the priest shall place fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8. Aaron's sons, the priests, shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar.
9. Its entrails and legs shall be washed with water, and the priest shall burn all of it on the altar—a burnt offering, a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.
10. If his offering is from the flock—from the sheep or the goats—for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish.
11. He shall slaughter it on the northern flank of the altar before Yahweh, and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.
12. He cuts it into its pieces with its head and its fat, and the priest arranges them on the wood over the fire on the altar.
13. He shall wash the entrails and the legs with water, and the priest shall present everything and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a fire offering, a soothing aroma to Yahweh.
14. But if from the birds is his burnt offering to Yahweh, he shall bring his offering from turtledoves or from young pigeons.
15. The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall drain out on the side of the altar.
16. And he shall remove its crop with its feathers and throw it beside the altar on the east, to the place of the ashes.
17. He shall split it open along its wings without dividing it, and the priest shall burn it on the altar atop the wood on the fire: it is a burnt offering, a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.
