8. Let humans and animals cover themselves with sackcloth and cry out to God with strength, and let each turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in their hands.
9. Who knows whether God will turn and relent and turn from the burning of his anger so we do not perish?
10. God saw their deeds, that they had turned from their evil way, and God relented of the evil that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.
