1. And on the third day a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee, and Jesus' mother was there.
2. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
3. When the wine gave out, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no wine."
4. And Jesus said to her, "Woman, what's between me and you? My hour has not yet come."
5. His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
6. Now there were six stone water jars set there for the purification of the Jews, each holding two or three measures.
7. Jesus said to them, "Fill the water jars with water." And they filled them to the brim.
8. And he said to them, "Now draw some and bring it to the master of the feast." So they brought it.
9. When the master of the feast tasted the water that had become wine and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
10. and says to him, “Every man first presents the good wine, and when they get drunk, the worse; you have kept the good wine until now.”
11. Jesus did this, the beginning of the signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
12. After this he went down to Capernaum—he, his mother, his brothers, and his disciples—and they stayed there not many days.
13. The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14. And he found in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting.
15. Making a whip of cords, he drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen, poured out the money changers' coins, and overturned the tables.
16. And to those selling the doves he said, "Take these things away from here; do not make my Father's house a marketplace."
17. His disciples remembered that it stands written, "The zeal for your house will consume me."
18. The Jews therefore answered and said to him, “What sign do you show us, since you do these things?”
19. Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it."
20. The Jews therefore said, "This temple was built in forty-six years, and you will raise it in three days?"
21. But he was referring to the temple of his body.
22. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he was saying this, and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus said.
23. Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover during the feast, many believed in his name, seeing the signs he was doing.
24. But Jesus himself did not entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone.
25. And because he had no need for anyone to bear witness about man, he himself knew what was in man.
