9. Be astounded and marvel, reel and stagger—they are drunk, but not with wine; they totter, but not with strong drink.

11. Every vision became for you like the words of a sealed book, which they hand to one who knows the book, saying, “Read this, please,” and he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
12. And the book is given to one who does not know a book, saying, “Read this, please,” and he says, “I do not know a book.”
13. The Lord said, "Because this people draws near to me with their mouth and their lips to honor me, but they have distanced their heart far from me, and their fear of me has become a commandment of men that is taught."
14. Therefore, behold, I will once more do a wondrous thing among this people—a wondrous thing and a wonder—and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their discerning men will be hidden.
15. Woe to those who deeply conceal their counsel from Yahweh, whose deeds are in darkness, and who say, "Who sees us? Who knows us?"
16. You overturn things! Shall the potter be accounted as clay, that the work should say to its maker, "He did not make me," or the thing formed should say to its former, "He has no understanding"?
17. Isn't it just a very little while before Lebanon becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest?
18. On that day the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see from gloom and darkness.
19. The humble will increase their joy in Yahweh, and the needy among humankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20. For the oppressor will vanish, the mocker will cease, and all who watch for evil will be cut off.

23. For when he sees his children, my handiwork in his midst, they will hallow my name and hallow the Holy One of Jacob and dread the God of Israel.
24. Those who stray in spirit will gain understanding, and murmurers will learn instruction.
