12. For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, both joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13. No creature is hidden before him, but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
14. Therefore, having a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to the confession.
15. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but one who has been tempted in all respects in like manner, without sin.
16. Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we receive mercy and find grace for timely help.
