14. When the priests enter, they shall not go out from the sanctuary to the outer courtyard, but there they shall leave the garments they wear while serving in them, for those are holy; they shall put on other garments and draw near to what is for the people.
15. When he had finished the measurements of the inner house, he led me out by the way of the gate whose face was toward the way of the east, and measured it all around.
16. He measured the east side with the measuring rod five hundred cubit rods, with the measuring rod all around.
17. He measured to the north five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around.
18. He measured the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
19. He turned to the west and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
20. He measured it on the four sides: a wall surrounded it on every side, five hundred long and five hundred wide, to separate the holy from the profane.
