12. Yet it was uprooted in wrath, flung down to the earth, and an east wind withered its fruit; its rods of strength broke apart and dried up—a fire devoured them.
13. Now it is planted in the wilderness, in a land of drought and thirst.
14. Fire came out from a rod of its branches and devoured its fruit, so that no strong rod remained in it—a scepter to rule. This is a lamentation, and it became a lamentation.
