5. Every firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from Pharaoh's firstborn who sits on his throne to the firstborn of the servant girl behind the millstones, and every firstborn among the livestock.
6. There will be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt like nothing that has ever happened nor will happen again.
7. But no dog will sharpen its tongue against any man or even beast among all the sons of Israel, so that you may know that Yahweh distinguishes between the Egyptians and Israel.
8. All these servants of yours will come down to me and bow before me, saying, “Go—you and all the people following at your feet—and after that I will go.” He left Pharaoh’s presence burning with anger.
9. Yahweh said to Moses, "Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt."
10. Moses and Aaron performed all these signs before Pharaoh, and Yahweh hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the sons of Israel go out of his land.
