7. We pray to God that you do nothing evil, not that we may appear approved, but that you may do what is good, though we may be rejected.
8. For we are not able to do anything in opposition to the truth, but on behalf of the truth.
9. For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong; this too we pray for, your perfecting.
10. For this reason I write these things while absent, so that when present I might not act sharply according to the authority the Lord gave me for building up, and not for destruction.
11. Finally, brothers, rejoice, be restored, be encouraged, think alike, live at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
