7. But knowledge is not in everyone; however, some, accustomed even now to the idol, eat it as sacrificed to idols, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8. But food does not recommend us to God; for neither, if we eat, are we better off, nor, if we do not eat, are we worse off.
9. But watch that this freedom of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
10. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge reclining in an idol's temple, won't his conscience, being weak, be built up to eat the things sacrificed to idols?
11. For through your knowledge the weak brother perishes, the one for whom Christ died.
12. So then, sinning against the brothers and striking their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
13. Therefore, if food offends my brother, I will never eat meat, so that I do not offend my brother.
