11. But one and the same Spirit accomplishes all these, distributing to each his own as he wills.
12. For just as the body is one and has many members, all the members of the body—being many—are one body, so it is with Christ.
13. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free; and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14. For the body is not one part, but many.
15. If the foot says, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body?
16. And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body?
17. If the entire body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the entire were hearing, where would the smelling be?
18. But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as he desired.
19. And if all were one member, where would the body be?
20. But now there are many members indeed, yet one body.
21. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I do not need you.”
22. But the members of the body that seem weaker are much more necessary.
23. And those of the body that seem less honorable to us, we clothe with greater honor; and our unseemly parts have greater decency.
24. Our honorable parts have no need, but God blended the body together, giving greater honor to what lacks.
25. so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may care equally for one another.
26. And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer together with it; or whether one member is honored, all the members rejoice together with it.
27. Now you are Christ's body, and individual members.
28. And God has set some in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then powers, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, kinds of tongues.
