11. Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
12. So whoever thinks he stands should beware lest he fall.
13. No temptation has seized you except a human one. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation also provide a way out, so you can endure it.
14. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15. I speak as to wise people; you judge what I say.
16. Isn't the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in Christ's blood? Isn't the bread that we break a participation in Christ's body?
17. Because it is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
18. Look at Israel in the flesh. Aren't those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar?
19. What then am I affirming? That a sacrifice to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
20. Rather, what they sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to become partners with demons.
21. You cannot drink the Lord's cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in the Lord's table and the table of demons.
22. Or are we making the Lord jealous? Are we more powerful than he?

25. Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, without asking questions, for the sake of conscience.

28. But if anyone says to you, “This is sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it on account of the one who made it known and on account of conscience.
29. I mean conscience—not your own, but the other’s. Why is my freedom judged by another conscience?
30. If I partake by grace, why am I reviled for that for which I give thanks?
31. Therefore, whether you eat or drink or do anything, do everything for God's glory.
32. Be without offense to Jews and Greeks and the church of God.
33. Just as I also please everyone in everything, not seeking my own advantage but that of the many, so that they may be saved.
