# Make room to pray — morning, evening, and the in-between

> Lumin’s Pray pillar is a quieter way in: morning and evening prayer, and guided reflection for the in-between — including praying out loud. AI can offer prompts and structure. It does not pray for you, speak as God, or replace your church.

This page is Lumin’s Pray feature. The Christian prayer app page is the category and fit guide, including how Lumin compares with libraries and liturgies. See [Christian prayer app guide](https://www.lumin.faith/christian-prayer-app.md).

## What Pray is in Lumin

The App Store names this “Make room to pray.” Find a quieter way in with morning and evening prayer and guided reflection for the in-between.

The homepage pillar is the same sentence. Site and llms.txt language also describe spoken, guided prayer you can follow with eyes at rest, and prayer walks — pray aloud while you move. Those are confirmed product lines, not a celebrity catalog.

## AI helps you begin; it does not pray for you

AI can offer prompts and structure. It does not pray for you, speak for God, or replace Scripture, pastoral care, or church community. The act of prayer is yours — words, silence, attention directed to God.

If you are asking whether praying with any AI is wise, start with the honesty guide rather than a slogan. Lumin’s position is the limit: help beginning is not the same as praying on your behalf.

## Privacy and what you keep

With permission, you can keep prayers and moments you choose. You can see what stays, hide it, edit it, or remove it. You can mark a saved prayer answered. Lumin keeps the record; it does not decide what God has done.

Site language: prayers and reflections stay on your account, are never sold, can be cleared anytime, and the app shows no ads. The Covenant forbids streak-shaming. Prayer is not a score.

## Not a celebrity library — and not your church

Some Christian prayer apps are large audio libraries: sessions, voices, catalogs. Lumin is a companion for the days between Sundays. Pray is one of four pillars, next to Ask, Bible Coach, and Sermon Week — not a replacement for a prayer-book, an office, or a congregation.

If you want a library comparison, use the category page and the vs pages. If you want the Pray job in Lumin, stay here.

## Start praying

Get Lumin on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. You can start free. Completing a guide is not the same as an answered prayer, and this page will not claim otherwise.

## How to begin prayer in Lumin

Free-layer steps: open Pray, choose morning, evening, or guided reflection, and pray in your own words. Completing these steps is not an answered prayer.

1. **Open Pray.** Open Lumin on iPhone or iPad, or the signed-in web companion, and go to Pray.
2. **Choose morning, evening, or guided reflection.** Pick the rhythm that matches the hour — morning, evening, or a quieter in-between — rather than treating prayer as a streak to complete.
3. **Pray in your own words.** Use the prompt or spoken guide as a way in. The prayer is yours. AI does not address God on your behalf.

## Questions people ask

### Does Lumin offer morning and evening prayer?

Yes. Lumin’s Pray pillar is described as morning and evening prayer, plus guided reflection for the in-between — a quieter way to begin when words are hard.

### Does Lumin pray for me?

No. AI can offer prompts and structure, but it does not pray for you, speak for God, or replace Scripture, pastoral care, or church community.

### Are my prayers private?

Site language: prayers and reflections stay on your account, are never sold, can be cleared anytime, and the app shows no ads. With permission, you can keep what you choose under memory controls you can edit or remove.

### Can I pray out loud with Lumin?

Yes. Site and product language describe spoken, guided prayer you can follow with hands and eyes at rest, and prayer walks where you speak it out as you move.

### Is praying with AI okay?

AI may help you begin when words are hard. It cannot pray, discern God’s will, or speak with spiritual authority. Treat generated wording as a draft to inspect, not as God’s voice. See /should-christians-use-ai-for-prayer.

### How is /pray different from Hallow, Lectio 365, or /christian-prayer-app?

/pray is Lumin’s Pray feature landing. /christian-prayer-app is the category and fit guide. Hallow, Lectio 365, and similar apps are libraries or daily offices; Lumin is a companion for the days between Sundays. Compare pages spell out the job difference.

### Will Lumin claim to be God’s voice?

No. The Covenant says Lumin will not speak for God, deliver “a word from the Lord,” or occupy a prophetic office. Prompts are assistance, not revelation.
